Wow its been a while

It has once again been a while since I sat an blogged. I really have got to get better at this. Hamp is now 9 mths old and WOW he is a big boy. He is so stinkin cute I could eat him!!! SS and Hamp are really interacting...she is always saying "hey buddy" and really bossing him around. She loves to pull him down right after he has worked so hard at pulling up on something.
So Hamp man what are you up to:

* you weigh 23lbs 9oz (just a little side note SS was 17lbs 2oz at this age)
* you are 29 inches long (90th% on weight and height
* same sleeping and eating schedule but really enjoying your baby food
* did start you on a sippy cup and puffs and you love them
* size 5 diapers and growing out of all 12 month clothes...you really need some clothes chunky love boy!!
* 8/26/2010 you pulled up and stood in your crib for the first time. Your face tells all...I think you were really proud of your self!!

* You are really trying to walk...you do very well with the walker and can go from one side of the room to the other very well.

* still saying "thah thah" aka da da and now saying nuh nuh for momma and "tha" for bye. You wave your hand and say "tha"...such a smart boy!
*you recently got a top tooth(canine) so that makes 3
* You are now on an antibx for ANOTHER double ear infection..this is your 4th in 6 months but the fluid never goes away...we are looking at tubes if you keep this up little man!!
* you have been doing the army crawl but this weekend started crawling with your belly off the floor. You and SS will crawl all over the house together "C-mon buddy" is what she will say to you!
Hamp we love you so much and you are mommas little angel boy!! I love love love you sweet boy. People always comment on how you are a happy baby and yes you are...always smiling.

Sarah Scott you are such a precious little girl. You are non stop during the day and always a BIG ball of energy. You are talking all the time and using your manners very well. You always say please and thank you and we are now working on yes mam and no mam instead of just "yes mommy." You had your first day of MDO 9/10 and did sooooo good. I told you that morning that we were going to play....you are too smart and the entire way there said "I no wanna play mommy." However, you put your bag on and carried your lunch box in like a big girl. Mommy was sooo proud of you.

You got a new pair of rain boots and just love them. This day you wanted to wear them to the park..they don't match but you sure look cute in them.

You are becoming such a big girl. The other day you got in bed with me and daddy and said "mommy I hounree" (hungry)...I asked you what you wanted for breakfast and you said " a piece of ice cream" I told you that we don't have ice cream for breakfast so you said " a piece of ketchup"...you made us laugh sweet girl!

A couple of other things you love to say now is "Oh Gosh" and
"mommy its awesome." We were in the store on Friday and everything you picked up was "mommy I love this its awesome." I will be changing your diaper and you say "Oh gosh mommy." I am amazed at all the things you pick up from what I say. Tonight You said "mommy I done"...that would be with your dinner...so I go to clean you up and you look at me and say "I so proud of you"....yes that is what you hear me say to you most nights when you eat well. :)

Oh...how could I forget....you have been almost 2 weeks without a paci and doing so well....all the thanks goes to daddy for that one!
Mommy loves spending time with you and Hamp and being home with you. We have such fun days. We have been making trips to the park alot and riding in the stroller. You love to go out side and draw on the side walk and play with Chester (the new cat that will not leave our house).
You are becoming a good mix of a girly girl who likes for mommy to curl her hair and I have caught you in my make up several times....to a tomboy who falls and skins her knee and just goes on without a flinch. A dora band aid or "boo boo" as you call them always makes it better.
I love you angel girl! I love that you say" I hold you mommy"...always want to be in my arms angel!

Not much new with Scott and I just living the good ole married life. Scott has settled in to his new job and really seems to like it. He does a great job of being the working man during the week and taking on Mr. mom on the weekends that I work. He recently out did himself by getting rid of the paci....WOW he did awesome. I think I will make potty training his duty too!

I am still working between Trinity and University and it is going well. Its amazing how much I don't hate it the way I use to before I had kids. I think now that my days off are filled with baby time makes a huge difference. I have been working my schedule so that I basically work all my days close together which gives me 5 days off in between schedules. I like it this way. I have really been praying about where I want to go next with nursing. One thing I always wanted to do right after nursing school was work in labor and delivery or with mommas and babies post delivery. I never was able to find a job but recently have worked a couple of shifts at Trinity with moms and babies post delivery. Needless to say I have loved it and put in a word with the director to hopefully become part of the staff. I am praying for the Lord to open the doors if that is the plan he has for me. We will see.....!

Beach Week

So we have recently returned from a beach trip with my family. This is the second year that we have gone with my brother, sis n law, niece and my parents. It is such a nice time together and a tradition in the making. We went to Hilton Head and after some drama with hotel reservations getting cancelled we found a townhome to rent 2 days before we were to leave. It all worked out great and we had wonderful family time together. SS loved the beach and the pool but Hamp is still not really in to it all. I am really looking forward to next year when Hamp is old enough to walk around on the beach and enjoy the water...it will be MUCH more relaxing for momma!
As you see in the pics SS had a great time riding the waves with daddy!

...and Hamp well not so much...the look on his face tells all...BUT

we did get a smile on his face when he was not in the water!!

And who can resist this hunk a chunk!!!

SS had a great time swimming with daddy...

...playing in the sand with Addi...

..and playing with this crazy man...Poppy!

A great vacation spent with family!!!

8 months old

That sweet little chunka burnin love turned 8 months old 8/3. I sure love this boy and could eat his little...well big...cheeks everyday. He started to crawl a couple of weeks ago and yesterday made his way up the stair from our playroom to the dining room. I dont think that SS is liking him being mobile like this because she is really being rough on him! What she just does not understand is soon...very soon...he is going to be MUCH bigger than her and "bring it on" is all Hamp man will be saying!!!
Its so hard to believe this sweet boy has been in my arms for 8 months...it really has gone by so fast!!
What are you up to these days:
*22lbs 13oz
*size 4 diapers and 5 at night
*12 month clothes...and some things are too small
* still same eating schedule and nap schedule
* 2 bottom teeth
*crawling
*You love your veggies and that makes momma proud

We love you Hamp Man!

Birthday Party Dora Style!!

Saturday we celebrated SS's bday party with a Dora the Explorer theme. Sweet little SS turned the big 2!! These were her invitations...

I looked all over to find some cute invites and finally found these at Tiny Prints. I knew I wanted her to sport the tutu again and was lucky enough to find one at a good price back in June. Scotts Aunt Debbie made the "2" shirt for me and her outfit was complete with a bow I picked up from Hobby Lobby:)!!!
The party favors were made by my mom in law and turned out precious. They were cake pops that looked like ice cream cones and tasted wonderful!!!

The cake was made by Balloon Delights (my sis n laws mom) and tasted sooo yummy!! I cant explain how cute it was when we sang happy bday to SS. She stood in her chair with the biggest grin on her face and when we were done she clapped and yelled "yeah"...it was so sweet!!

I rented the jump from Jump City and was more than excited that they had a Dora jump "thingy"...whatever they are called!!

As you can see SS had a blast. It was extremely hot but the kids had a wonderful time and that is what matters. Little SS had some red red cheeks!!

We had so many friends and family come to celebrate with us and we were so thankful. Thank you to Stephanie and Matt for making the trip from Atl....SS loves to see her handsome Kellen!!

Last year I tied all the left over balloons to SS and then let her release them. I thought we would keep the same tradition this year! SS was not as pleased with the idea this year but momma got some pictures and that is all that matters!!

Another year another party....time is going by so fast! SS is amazing...so sweet and smart. We love her dearly and look forward to what 2's will bring us!

A little bit of this and that

Another Monday over...I feel like I was not very productive today. I don't have too much left to do for SS bday party this weekend. I did realize today that I had SS's tutu for the party but no shirt to go with it. I called Scott's aunt ASAP and got that taken care of. ..with a little battle in the fabric store with SS.
These days SS is sweet...BUT my lawd is she moody. I think this is why I feel like I cant get much done. She goes from smiling and being happy to throwing a toy, stomping her foot and marching off. It really is wearing me out at times and I feel like stomping my foot and walking off too!!! I have tried time out a few times with her but today when I would get on to her she would walk off a few feet, sit on the floor and then look at me and say "sit down." She knew that was getting ready to come out of my mouth. I just look at her and try my best not to laugh....she is too smart!
So last weekend Scott had the kids for a while and when I got home I see her baby on the table with a vaseline bottle beside it....

..Scott tells me that while he was changing Hampton SS put a diaper under her baby and then opened the vaseline container and put it on her baby!! What a sweet little momma!

Sat afternoon we had Addi's bday party. It was a blast and I think that kids had more fun than the adults. They had a huge water slide at the party and SS and Scott loved it.

SS started with Scott helping her from the side. Then Scott decided to join in on the fun. They started at the top...

and this was the end of the slide...

and then this was where they finally landed!!

We put Hamp in the swing for the first time and he LOVED it. He did not make a peep and just sat back and relaxed!!

I cant believe how fast our kids are growing. 4 more days and SS will be 2! WOW! Looking forward to celebrating Dora style!!!
