Happy 1st Birthday Sarah Scott

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH SCOTT!!!

I can't believe that it has been a year!!! Time has gone by so so fast and this year has been amazing. We did not do much to celebrate today because little one has been sick since yesterday. I think its a little virus just fever with no other symptoms. Needless to say she does not feel well today. I did try to get some pics of her today but it did not go well....actually as a type she is screaming in her crib....she only does this when little one does not feel well!!
I have been planning planning for her bday party on Saturday. A few friends are coming in from out of town and we have a good crowd from here. I think that we will have a great time and I am looking forward to it!!
I will be sure to post pics after the party!! I am off to bed.....lots to do tomorrow!!

22 weeks

I cant believe it...I am 22 weeks prego. This has gone by so fast and I have not taken one picture of myself, not journaled one time like I did with SS, have not purchased one thing and am no where near a name. WHAT IN THE WORLD. Why is this so normal with the second pregnancy? I really dont like it and I want to be better. Not for me but for this sweet little boy who will see all the things that I did for SS and not for him. Lord help me please!!!!:)
I had a check up yesterday and everything was great. Heartbeat was strong and I did gain 4lbs but that's what eating chocolate moose track ice cream (that Scott got) does I guess. Overall I have done well with weight. If you don't remember I gained 55lbs with SS and really do not want to do that with this one. So far I am at 8lbs. I can deal with that. I really have tried to get some walking in several days a week but it has not been going well. I have been having some lower abd cramping and MD said to stop when that happens. Well Monday SS and I went out I tried to run some (but my "bottom" felt like it was falling out) and then speed walking I started to cramp so we cut it short. I really don't understand it all bc I ran prior to getting prego. I will keep trying and do what I can. I am noticing some swelling already at my ankles....on the days that I am on my feet at the hospital. This got me a little down bc I was so swollen with SS and I don't want that again either. I am keeping my fingers crossed that come winter swelling will not be an issue.
Overall I am feeling very well. Little man is moving around alot and I love love love to feel him. One thing that he does get more than SS did is hearing me sing and read books. I sing and read to SS every night so he gets to enjoy that. I will take some pics soon but for now I am off to get some rest.
Lord I want to thank you for this child that you have blessed Scott and I with. I thank you for a healthy child and one that will come to know you and follow you at an early age. Lord help Scott and I to seek you in all that decisions that we make for his life. Help SS to adjust well. Lord give me peace in knowing that everything with preparing for him will come together and that YOU are in control. Thank you for loving me.

Oh SS turns one on Thursday....whoo hoo.....!!!

Monkey Joe's

So Saturday we had a birthday party for my niece at Monkey Joe's. Addi was turning 3...I can't believe how big she is now. I have heard a lot about Monkey Joe's but never been. Scott and I were talking before getting there that this is really SS's first BIG outing with so many people and her first bday party. I mean she plays with other kids at Sunday School but I felt that she would be in toy and kid overload and not really know what to think. When we arrived I was a little overwhelmed myself...I mean whoo..LOTS OF KIDS!! Oh and may I add lots of kids running around with parents that were NOT paying attention to them. Anyway...that's for another blog.
We found our area for the party and put our stuff down, put on SS socks and Scott got his on and we were off. We checked out her little section..which I told one kid to get off of because he was to old:)...then decided to head on over to the big girl slide. Scott was amazing ...he climbed up this slide and went down probably 15 times. We were not sure how SS was going to like it but I think that the pics tells all.

I think this smile means she had a great time

Monkey Joe's made for a great day and a wonderful bday party for little miss Addi. SS had a wonderful time and needless to say she slept great last night.

For a few other side notes...SS and her eating is getting better. Scott told me that his mom gave her green beans and cottage cheese (yuck) on Friday and she loved them both. I was so excited to know she is starting to like more. CCheese is disgusting but if she likes it then I will be more than happy to get it for her. We had mex last night and beans that she normally spit out she seemed to enjoy too. So for all you moms that told me to be patient...I think you were right and it is getting better!

Mac and cheese please!

Praise the Lord, hallelujah, whoo hoo, thank you Jesus....those were my thoughts tonight as Scott gave SS some Kraft box mac and cheese and she ACTUALLY ATE IT...LOTS OF IT!!! If you don't know trying to get SS to eat anything other than baby food has been a bit of struggle. She will eat whip cream and ice cream but anything else she spits out. I know she will eventually eat it but I needed to know that she liked at least one thing other than ice cream...so mac and cheese it is!

So overall I have not had the time to sit and blog so I am doing a little catching up. I have been picking up some extra shifts at the hospital and have been pretty exhausted lately. Also mentally exhausted trying to plan SS first bday party. I have decided that I should have started this planning about 4 months ago. I am such a procrastinator though and I hate that about myself. I will say that I am very thankful for my mom n law she is helping me do a lot of things so that takes some stress of me. There is so much to plan down to the perfect outfit...and let me tell you she will be looking cute!!!
Things are well around the Whitfield house and the biggest news is that I started feeling my little man move yesterday. I have been anxiously waiting on that so it was nice to feel some flutters.
SS is walking, walking, walking and even has a little trot in her step. We were outside the other day and she was walking all around the yard so I was able to get some pics of her...she refuses to smile for pics these days but she is still precious!!

Scott and I just love to sit and watch her...she is such a joy and I swear we could eat her up for dinner...you start kissing those sweet little cheeks and hearing her giggle and just can't stop. She is talking so much and says "hey", "bye", "buggle" aka Tuggle, "booo" (for peek a boo) and the good ole momma and daddy!!! Scott loves to come home and be greeted with a "heeey." She tells hey to anyone that she sees.
So tonight after all the excitement of her enjoying a new food I was cleaning the kitchen...we played some and I went to the kitchen to make her bottle. I obviously left the frig open and turned my back for I think maybe a second...turned around and this is what I see....

I took a quick pic and just smiled bc it was so cute!

Well I think I am off to bed. I have more bday planning to do this week and work this weekend.
I do have my 20 week appt on Monday (although 20 weeks today) so looking forward to that.
I need to go have a looooong talk with the Lord...Scott and I can't seem to agree on a boys name so it may take a visit from the Lord...like coming to our room one night and in all of His glory and brightness and standing in front of Scott saying...either....."the child your wife is carrying will have the name ???" or "Scott just do what Deborah Anne wants"...the second thing would be my choice but I don't always get my way!! We will see but either way we need a Jesus intervention!!

Our 4th weekend

So this post is a little late but I have not had the time or energy at the end of the day to sit and write....that's pretty much laziness I guess but I'm prego I get to make excuses!!
Our 4th weekend was planned to be very low key...actually pretty much doing nothing because I had to work a 12 at the hospital. Friday was a good day because Scott and I were both off so we spent family time with SS. Sat was to start off with me getting up at 530 and getting ready for work....soooo that is what I did..showered and dried my hair and then ..ring ring...Hi Deborah Anne this is University hospital and you have been cancelled for the first 8 hours!! Ya know that's nice because I don't have to go in to work but heck I'm half way ready...so back to bed it was. We took it pretty easy in the AM bc I still would not know until 1 if I had to work. Scott and I were eating lunch and I made the comment that if I knew I didn't have to work we could have made plans to go see some great friends in Greenville...the wonderful Hickman's!!

April and Jacob

Scott made the comment that it wasn't too late to go...which shocked me...so I began to plan a little in my head packing up and leaving.
..on a side note..not sure if you all feel this way but although we would not be in Greenville longer than 24 hours just the fact of getting away and out of your hometown sometimes is NICE!!!
Ok...so I got cancelled for the rest of the day..we called Jacob and April and in about an hour we were packed and headed for a little overnight trip. I was soooo excited to get out of town but let me tell you...packing for a little one just overnight is insane!! All the little things that you have to remember and then the really important things like something for them to sleep in!! SS didn't do that well in the car she wanted out of her seat so we were ready to get there.
We finally arrived..one speeding ticket later...and it was so nice to spend time with good friends. The Hickman's recently bought a new house and are remodeling some of it....they have done a great job and it is so adorable.
We enjoyed a nice dinner and then were off to fireworks. I was a little nervous how SS would do bc the fireworks started at 930 and her bedtime is 830!! Shes a big girl now and was going to stay up late for the first time ever!!
The fireworks were great but SS could have cared less about them. She just wanted to get down and walk around.
Greenville is a nice place and the downtown area is very nice with a lot to do!!
SS slept very well that night and Sunday the girls did some shopping while the guys enjoyed a game of golf!!
Sadly we had to head back to Augusta but overall had a great weekend and our last min plans were a great idea!!
