"Talking" Tuesday

What is "Talking" Tuesday you ask....well its today. This is the word of the day according to Sarah Scott. She has been walking around the house with the cell phone to her ear saying "Talking...hello, talking, hello." I have asked her who she is talking too and one time she said "Poppy."

I love to hear you talk SS. Everyday you come up with words that I didn't know was part of your vocabulary. What you say that makes me laugh:

*You run around the house and yell "running"
*Daddy said on Saturday you said "marching" and when he looked at you you were marching like a soldier...we found out that BeBe taught you that!
*You love to be an airplane and say "flying"
*"Foe fiss"...you say this ALL THE TIME...this means goldfish
*One phrase you know very well is "I sorry mommy"....this morning you tripped and fell and spilt apples and goldfish all over the playroom and turned to me and so kindly said " I sorry Mommy"

SS you are always full of things to say...but the sweetest of all is when you look at me and say "lu-yoo."

Hamp Man

So this morning Hampton had his 4 month MD appt. Yes we are a little late with it but better late than never...right?
I really have always ran late to about everything in my life and I would like to get better at this so this morning I made a HUGE effort to get there on time...that meant I had to shower and do my hair...no hat. I DID IT. We were even a couple of min early...it was such a nice feeling.
We got there and before we even got out of the car I smelt something pretty foul...yes Hamp had pooped all in his diaper but I was able to catch it before it came out the back..lol!
We got checked in...rushed to change a "stinky" as SS would say and spent some time with a friend of ours that works there...she is actually a close friend of my mothers and loves the kids so she entertained SS while I met with the MD.

Hamp man you weigh 15lbs 15ounces (this was a shock to me you weighed 16.5 on our baby scale last week) and are 24.5 inches long. You are 75th % on the weight chart but fell some on height. Dr. Getts seems to think you wiggled some when they were measuring your length and that reading is not accurate...we will see next go round!! You still have fluid on both ears.....errrrrr..mommy is so frustrated with this. Your ears bother you so bad and I am praying this clears up!
You did so good and then the mean ole lady came with shots. You were smiling and cooing and all of a sudden looked at mommy with total fear in your eyes and screamed VERY loud. Mommy picked you up and told you it was ok and you believed me...lol You stopped crying and laid your sweet little head on my shoulder. You look really cute with your band aids!!

Mommy and daddy are proud of you big boy!!

Sow now the little ones are down for a nap I think I might catch some shut eye too!!!

** Before I clock out on this post I wanted to post a few pics of the weekend!!

Easter 2010

So Easter at our house was a little different this year. I actually had to work on Easter and Scott was to take the kids to church but the stomach bug has lived on our house for the last week and was live and kicking on Sunday so the kids had to stay home. Scotts mom had made SS the cutest little dress and I was so disappointed that she did not get to wear it.
The nasty bug finally hit everyone in our house and has moved on to our parents so I am thinking we are now in the clear!!!
This week I was only scheduled to work Tuesday and Wed so I have been home with the kids most of the week which has been nice.
I told Scott that since we did not get to spend Easter together I wanted to dress the kids up Monday and do baskets and take some pics. Before Scott got home we attempted to take pics but SS refuses to look at the camera and smile these days and Hamp just gets a little frustrated with me!! They looked cute though.

When Scott got home we gave them what the Easter bunny had delivered.

The only thing that SS was interested in was her "fo fiss" (gold fish).

This pic below cracked me up...the look on Hamps face is so cute...he really wants that hat from SS.

Although Easter was not "the traditional Easter" God still reigns. The meaning is still the same...He conquered the grave and that is what I want SS and Hamp to always know about Easter. Yes the Easter bunny comes with great gifts but the real reason is to rejoice and give thanks to our Lord for what he has done for us!!
So on an end note...the kids will be rockin there Easter outfits this Sunday!!!

Happy 4 months Hampton

** So this week has not been much fun...the stomach flu landed on SS Monday night and then jumped to Scott Wednesday night. SS started back with diarrhea Thursday and well its still hanging on...Errr! Im crossing my fingers that Hamp and I completely avoid this.
So in the middle of all our sickness Sarah Scott turned 20 months old and today Hamp is 4 months old. I have decided to stop the monthly "SS turned however many" bc I cant say she is 35 months old one day. We will resume at the big 2!!
Happy 4 months Hamp!

So Hamp Man can you believe it you are 4 months old. Mommy and daddy cannot believe how much you have grown and how unbelievably fast this time has gone by. You are one sweet baby and you LOVE you some mommy...I like to brag about that!! Sarah Scott loves you to pieces and tries really hard to be your mommy. She likes to help hold your bottle and bring you your paci when you cry. She always makes sure to kiss you goodnight too. You love to watch TV with her. SS never liked TV until she was well over 1 but you are captivated by it.
What you are up to these days:
* 16lbs
* Size 3-6 month clothes
* Size 3 diapers during the day and we put 4 on you at night
* 4 ...7 ounce bottles a day
* Sleep from about 830 until I wake you up at 8 in the morning
* Take 2 naps a day sometimes 3
* You continue to roll from your tummy to back in the crib when you get mad
* You are very ticklish on your side and under your neck
* Sleep very well on your tummy at night
* We rock you at night and mommy sings to you..You like to rest your cheek up against mine to fall asleep
* The most exciting thing is you started rice cereal yesterday. I feel like you are a big boy now that you are eating some solids! You did really well as you see below you liked it!!

We love you Hampton Cole. You are our sweet little boy and the perfect son! Slow down your growing...mommy wants to rock you to sleep for a long time!
